Obituary

Bove-Barbara A. (nee Hinsken) went to her eternal home with the Lord on September, 23, 2025 to be with Rev. Donald R. Bove her godly husband of 68 years.  She is survived by her devoted family, her daughters Shelley (James) Stoffel and Amy (Rick) Owens; her granddaughters Jennifer (Travis) Stahl, Sara (Michael) Fabozzi, Colleen Stoffel, Ashley (Colton) Alexander, Brianna (Ilkka) Vuori and Tasha (Dominic) Romero; her great-grandchildren Avery, Elise and Owen Stahl, Landon and Ella Fabozzi, Luke and Matthew Hood, Elsa and Elias Vuori and Aurora Alexander; her sister Shirley Wagner and niece and nephews Susan (David) Minchen, Jeffrey (Judy) and Allan Ernst.  Barbara was born in Buffalo, NY to Emil and Dorothy Hinsken on September 1, 1931.  She moved to Town Line when she was five years old.  Barbara and Don met in 7th grade and after graduating in 1949 from Lancaster High School, Barbara worked for the Buffalo Better Business Bureau and Don enlisted in the Air Force.  They were married in 1951 and lived in Bermuda at Kindley Air Force Base.  They returned to Lancaster to raise their family and after both daughters were married they began their second career as Missionaries for the United World Mission located in Florida.  In 1984 Don was appointed the Director of Overseas Ministries and together they served the Lord ministering to missionaries in foreign countries around the world.  As missionaries the Boves traveled to over 40 countries proclaiming the Gospel.  They also organized 58 teams that built churches in 14 countries overseas.  In 1989 they moved to North Carolina when the United World Mission relocated their headquarters there.  After they retired they both worked at Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child in Boone, NC and volunteered at the Billy Graham Chapel in Asheville, NC for 12 years.  In 2014 they moved back to Buffalo to be near their family and enjoy their great-grandchildren.  God has blessed Barbara and she looks forward to a reunion in heaven with her family, friends and the Christians she met around the world who accepted the Lord as their personal Savior.  "God be with you till we meet again."  The family would like to thank the nurses and aides from Hospice Buffalo Inc. for their wonderful care and support they had given to Barbara.
