Perl-Charles J. of Strykersville, NY passed away October 29, 2023.  Beloved husband of Judith (Braun) Perl; dear father of Karen (Allen) McCall, Thomas (Anna), Patrick (Lisa), Daniel (Kimberly) and John (Mary) Perl; loving grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brother of William (Judith) Perl and the late Norman (Patricia) Perl and the late Barbara (late Allen) Garigen; also survived by nieces and nephews.  Family will be present to receive friends at St. John Neumann Parish (St. Cecilia's Site) 991 Centerline Rd., Sheldon, NY on Saturday, November 4th from 9am.-11am. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am.  Charles worked almost 40 years as a dedicated employee of Reisdorf Bros. Inc in North Java, NY.  He was very dedicated and active member St. Cecilia's Catholic Church near his home serving in a number of various roles.  Charles was an active member of the Sheldon Volunteer Fire Company for 67 years.  He prided himself in knowing about the history of the town of Sheldon and attended a number of community groups.  Earlier this year Charlie became a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He brought joy to everyone he knew with his jokes and tremendous sense of humor, especially with his collection of funny hats for every occasion.  In lieu of flowers  memorials may be made to the Sheldon Fire Dept.  Arrangements by the CHARLES MEYER FUNERAL HOME.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com.
