Ewert - Edwin  Of Alden, N.Y. On August 31, 2024 "Eddie" transitioned from this life into eternal glory to be with his God and Savior. He was residing at the Crossroads House when he died peacefully in his sleep. Edwin was born on August 8, 1932 in Buffalo, NY to Edward and Matilda Ewert and as a young boy moved with his family to Alden, NY. After graduating from Alden High School, he joined the US Navy as a Radioman during the Korean Conflict. After military service he returned to Alden, residing on Elm St. for most of his life. He received an Associate's Degree from Erie County Tech and worked in the architectural profession until his retirement. He was an active, faithful member of Millgrove Bible Church. A lover of literature and classical music, he spent many hours in his free time reading classical and modern literature, especially biographies. He was a longtime supporter and subscriber of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra frequently attending concerts with his wife and sons. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Matilda, he is survived by his loving wife Patricia (nee Orr) Ewert; sons Timothy, Douglas (Nancy) and Kevin (Shelley) Ewert, his brother David Ewert, five grand children and three great grandchildren.
