Mitchell-Elizabeth "Betsy" (Dunn) of Alden, NY  January 13, 2022.  Survived by her devoted husband of 51 years, Frederick Mitchell; her loving children: Heather (Erik) Felton, Jamie (Edward) Williams, Jeremy (Claire) Mitchell, and George (Jennifer) Mitchell; Grandchildren: Alexandra and Ellie Felton, Katherine and Edward Williams, Sloane Mitchell, and Oliver Mitchell; Her brothers: William Dunn and Scott (Nancy) Dunn, and many close extended family. She was the daughter of the late Edward W. Y. and Elizabeth B. Dunn.  Family will be present at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY Wednesday, January 19th from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.  A memorial service will be held at St. Aiden's Episcopal Church, 13021 Main St., Alden Thursday, January 20th at 11 AM.

Betsy grew up in Connecticut and met Fred at Cornell University.  Married in 1970, they moved to Alden in 1971 and established and grew Mitchell's Greenhouses together during their long marriage. Betsy was a very active member of St. Aiden's Episcopal Church. She was a life-member of the Alden Hook and Ladder Fire Company.   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo, St. Aiden's Episcopal Church, or Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Institute.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com.
