Tichy-Frank J. Jr. of Alden, NY passed away April 24, 2023 at the age of 98.  Beloved husband of the late Glenna Tichy; dear father of Frank (Peggy) Tichy III, Robert Tichy and David (Teresa) Tichy; loving grandfather of Elizabeth (Thomas) Tripp, Brian, Eric and Matthew Tichy; great-grandfather of Ayden and Brenyn; predeceased by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  No prior visitation.  Private services will be held.  Frank was a WWII Army Veteran with the  575 th AA Battalion serving in Third Army under General George S. Patton.  He fought in the Battle of the Bulge which helped liberate the Mauthausen Concentration Camp.  After the war Frank worked at the Chevy Axel Plant for 33 years.  He was a member of the Battle of the Bulge Veterans Group, the Audubon Society  and the Saturn Club.  He loved bird watching and stamp collecting.  Memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc.  Arrangements by the Charles Meyer Funeral Home.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com.
