Lund-George J. Sr. "Pal" of Alden, NY was born May 17, 1926, then God smiled down on George and said "it's time to come home, your work is done" on November 9, 2024 at the age of 98.  Beloved husband of the late Barbara (nee Nachreiner) Lund; dear father of Nancy, Alan (Paulette), George Jr. (Linda), John, Brenda (Clint) Perry and the late David Lund; loving grandfather of Tanner, Kennedy, Nathan, Stone (Amanda), Joshua, Ethan and Matthew; great-grandfather of Brinley, Chloe, Zach and Jade; brother of Paul (late Lucille) Dollas; brother-in-law of Anna Hale and Aloysius Nachreiner; also survived by many nieces and nephews.  No services will be held at this time.

George was a truck driver for Loblaws and Peter J. Schmidt and was a recipient of many Safe Driver Awards.  He was loved for his sense of humor.  George was friendly, outgoing and loved a good conversation.  He loved bird watching, cats and his trenching business for which he owned for many years.  The Lund Family would like to thank everyone at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing and Rehab Facility for their kindness and great care they gave to George.  Arrangements by the CHARLES MEYER FUNERAL HOME.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com
