Pecqueur-Jeannette  "Miss Jan" of Lancaster, NY  passed away May 20, 2022.  Cherished wife of the late Henri Pecqueur;  loving mother of Robert J. (Pam Gearin) Pecqueur and Jacqueline L. (Douglas) Perrin; dearest grandmother of Grace J. and T. Keyes (Autumn)  Perrin; sister of Helene (David) King.  Family will be present to receive friends at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY on Thursday from 3-7 PM.   Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Pompeii RC Church Lancaster, NY Friday at 10 AM (please assemble at church).    Miss Jan was a preschool educator at Carousel Nursery School for 30+ years.  Passionate about the Lancaster community, she was involved in many philanthropic organizations.  She was past President of the Lancaster Historical Society; active in the restoration of the Little Red School House and the Lancaster Opera House;  groundbreaking for the current Lancaster Historical Museum; Erie County Fair Historical Building yearly exhibit; organized  and conducted Lancaster Annual House Tours and away tours of historic homes and buildings; development of the Lancaster, NY Architecture and History coffee table book; Meals on Wheels volunteer; Civic Club Scholarship Committee Member; actively involved in the pending merger of Lancaster Rural Cemetery and Forest Lawn Cemetery.  She was also a 60-year Parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii RC Church.  Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com
