MacAlpine; dear father of Jenny (Pat) Barnes, David (Leslie) Staffone and Amanda (Ryan) Quinn; grandfather of Steven, Cali, Shane, Samantha, Justin, Madison, Grace and Jackson; great-grandfather of Ryleigh; brother of John (Pamela) Prosser, Jerry (Jackie) Prosser, Jay (Karen) Prosser, Jennifer Prosser and the late Jeff Prosser.  Family will be present at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY Thursday 2-4 and 6-7:30 PM followed by a fireman's prayer service at 7:30 PM.  Joel was past chief and lifetime member of the Alden Fire Co., a girl scout leader, a disaster coordinator, dog warden, wildlife rehabilitator, stock car racer, member of Alexander Gas & Steam Assoc., the Alden American Legion and a Vietnam War Veteran.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alden Fire Co. or Hospice Buffalo Inc.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com.
