Schnitzer-John R. of Alden, NY passed away December 13, 2023.  Beloved son of Robert and the late Agnes Schnitzer; dear father of Jackie (Tim) Pollotta  and Vicki Schnitzer; loving grandfather of Landon, Logan, Lilyanna, Harley and Haven; brother of Rob (Judi) Schnitzer, Debbie (Ken) Huber, Lori (Joe) Thering and Jeff (Kim) Schnitzer; also survived by nieces and nephews.  Family will be present to receive friends at the CHARLES MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY Thursday, December 21st from 4-6 PM. where a Celebration of Life will follow at 6 PM.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alden Hook and Ladder Fire Co.  John wrote and published a book named "The Pain Within" and was a retired technician and computer assembler.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com
