Schiersing-Joseph R. of Alden, NY passed away suddenly November 12, 2021 at the age of 88.  Beloved husband of the late Dorothy Ann (Harrison) Schiersing; dear father of Elizabeth Jane (Ed) Litchard, Joseph R. Jr., James M. (Gail Kurtz), Jean M. (Roger R.) Becker, John R. (Pam) and Jeffrey J. (Dawn) Schiersing; also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; brother of Shirley (Joseph) Rimbeck, Donald (Gladys), Robert (Janet), Richard and the late Elizabeth Schiersing.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's RC Church, Alden, NY Wednesday at 12:30 PM. (please assemble at church).  Family will be present at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 PM.  Joe is a US Army Veteran.
