Weaver-Lawrence J. Jr. of Akron, NY passed away January 10, 2025.  Beloved husband of the late Dolores Weaver; loving companion of the late Grace Kasprzak; dear father of Susan (Al) Meyers, Jay (Terese) Weaver III, and Mary (Donald) McClellan; grandfather of Mollie (Robert), Christie (Thomas), Katie (Benjamin), Emily (Cory), Matthew (Ashley), Alyssa, Jessica, Kristen, Joshua (Ashley), Jason (Erica) and Taylor (Stefanie); also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; brother of Vernon (Connie) Weaver and the late Regis (late Priscilla) and the late Mary Weaver; brother-in-law of Gail (late Thomas) Hicks.  Family will be present to receive friends at the CHARLES MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY Tuesday 12-4 PM. followed by a Funeral Service at 4 PM.  Memorials may be made to the Newstead Fire Co. or the Wounded Warrior Project.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com.

Larry was born on October 3, 1932 to Lawrence J. Sr. and Francis C. Weaver in Oil City, PA.  He attended high school at St. Joseph's in Oil City, graduating in 1950.  Larry was a proud veteran of the United States Army during the Korean War Era.  He married the former Dolores M. Hicks on May 5, 1956.  He moved to North Tonawanda, attending Bryant and Stratton College.

Larry was CFO at Buffalo Sheet Metal where he retired from in 1994.  Following retirement he and Dorrie enjoyed spending time between Rushford, NY and Nokomis, Fla.

Larry was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres Fan, attending many games during his lifetime.

Larry was affectionately known to his grandchildren as "G-Pa or "Grampa Sonny"
