Merlau-Mary Ann (nee Berner) of Dunnellon, Fl. entered into the arms of the Lord on August 15, 2019 after a brief illness. She was born November 23, 1936 To William D. and Ruth B. Berner, and grew up in Elma, N.Y. before graduating from Lancaster High School. She was married to Herbert H. Merlau in 1955. Mary Ann is survived by her children Peg (Scott) Skellington, Pamela (Mark) Hondzinski, Jennifer (Paul) Ahr, John Merlau (David) and Thomas Merlau; as well as grandchildren Amanda (Michael), Riley (Dev), Michael, Meghan, Madeleine, Emilie and Cooper. She is predeceased by her husband Herbert and a son Donald Merlau.

Mary Ann was an accomplished organist, accordionist, seamstress, knitter, crocheter, cake decorator, dog breeder, gardener and craftier who passed her talents and love of music and animals to her children and grandchildren. She was the owner of Mary Ann's Candy in East Aurora, N.Y. and was a member of the Rainbow Lakes Garden Club, and a Lifetime member of the Elma Historical Society.

Family will be present at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home 13228 Broadway Alden, N.Y. Friday August 23rd from 3-7 P.M. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Annunciation RC Church, Elma, N.Y.
