Obituary

Miller-Mildred Jesaphin "Millie"(nee Ullrich), a life long resident of Alden, NY passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 surrounded by loved ones.  Millie was born March 19, 1917.  She was one month shy of her 105th birthday.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Raymond P. Miller who died January 2, 1996.  Millie is the beloved mother of Sandra (Eric Mosher) River, David (Joan) Miller, Jane (Patrick "Rick") Michalski, Nancy (Terry) Garigen and Daniel (Marianne) Miller; also survived by 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Millie's deep faith helped her find joy and connection in sharing Gods word over many years of Bible study with her friends in her home and her community Church.  She enjoyed her time as a member of the "Red Hat" Society.

She was an avid painter.  Her art work specialized in landscapes and flowers utilizing oils, pastels and watercolors.  Many of her exquisite pieces are found in her china paintings on plates, pitchers and tea cups and saucers.  A skill her mother, Caroline Ullrich Weber also enjoyed.

Millie also spent endless hours designing and sewing dozens of bridal and bridesmaids gowns.  She was noted for making hundreds of dance recital costumes and designing outfits for porcelain dolls for a local Porcelain Doll Maker.

There will be a private family viewing at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home, followed by an internment at St. John's Cemetery.  A memorial service to celebrate Millie's life is being planned for late spring or early summer of this year 2022.  Memorials may be made in Mildred Miller's name to the American Cancer Society.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com
