LiPuma-Mildred Ruth "Millie" of Alden, NY mother of three children, Douglas LiPuma, Donna LiPuma and the late Dawn LiPuma passed quietly in her sleep at home on November 13, 2024 at the age of 97.  Her son, daughter, friends/caregivers where all present.  Her youngest daughter predeceased her in April 2022.

Mildred was born in Batavia, NY to Arthur and Bertha Brockway.  Her only sister Shirley predeceased her 22 years ago.  Her father was a decorated Marine in WWII.  Her mother was a homemaker.

Mildred Patriotic Spirit and love of this country lead her to a local manufacturing plant.  She and hundreds of other women built aircraft batteries for WWII airplanes.

In 1955 the LiPuma family, husband Charles, Mildred and their 3 children moved into a new home in the village of Alden, NY.  Mildred excelled as the Town Clerk.  In the early 70's, Mildred was hired as a civilian employee at the Attica Correctional Facility.  During the riot from September 9-13, 1971 Mildred was confined in the prison for five days.

Mildred loved the Lord, her dogs and cats, gardening, sewing and ceramics.

Mildred leaves behind her closest family, her son Douglas (Chrissy Hulme), daughter Pastor Donna LiPuma, granddaughter Kelsey Finn, former daughter-in-law Michele Finn, niece Jan Ellen Watson, nephew Monsignor David LiPuma and family/caregivers Cindy, Kathy, Kelly, Ann, Rosemary, Tammy, Rhonda and Debbie.  Family will be present to receive friends at the CHARLES MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY on Monday from 11-12 PM., followed by a funeral service at 12 noon.  Millie will be interred at the Hillside Cemetery, Pembroke, NY next to her mother and father.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com
