Gramza-Mitchell of Alden, NY passed away at his home in the company of loved ones on July 26, 2023 at the age of 91.  He was the beloved husband of 67 years to Elaine (nee Piechowiak) Gramza; dear father of Dale (Lori) Gramza, Jill (Charles) Everett and Darren (Rosemary) Gramza; loving grandfather of Melissa, Alan (Ashley), Larissa, Heather (Thad), Michael (Jennifer), Chelcie (Travis) and the late Andrew; great-grandfather of Connor, Mela, Wyatt, Madison, Riley, Ella, Grace, Avery, Colt, Thea, Chase, Sadie, Ronin and the late Julianna; son of the late Joseph and Josephine Gramza; brother of the late Charlie (late Stephanie), late Chester (late Dolores) and late Richie (Mary) Gramza; also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Family will be present at the CHARLES MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY Monday, July 31st from 4-8 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. John's RC Church Alden, NY Tuesday, August 1st at 10 AM (please assemble at church).  Flowers gratefully declined.  Memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc.

Mitch loved spending time at the beach in South Carolina with our mom.  Family and friends were always encouraged to come down to visit them.  He enjoyed his cabin in the Southern Tier, where he spent time outdoors hunting and fishing.  He called the place "The Gramza Hide-A-Way".  Mitch would relax in his shop building bird houses.  They called him the "Birdman" because everywhere he visited he would feed the birds and encourage them to come close.  He will be truly missed.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com
