Beloved husband of Michele Collins; cherished father of Cheryle (Michael) Ertel and Elizabeth (Michael) Bremmer; loving grandfather of Ethan, Ella, Emerson, Cole, Braden and Alexandria; also survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many good friends. Family will be present at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home 13228 Broadway Alden, NY. Friday 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Mass of Christian Burial from St. John's RC Church, Alden, NY Saturday at 10:00 A.M. (please assemble at church).  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Connect Life.  Bob made a career as a Corrections Officer for the NYS DOC after working at Bethlehem Steel and Buffalo Specialty Products.  He was also passionate about his hobbies; early on as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with South Line Fire Company, he later became an accomplished woodworker and achieved a Black Belt in Krav Maga.  Bob loved muscle cars and any kind of airplanes.  He could often be found listening to Pink Floyd or watching a good sci-fi movie with his family, but his favorite pastime was helping out his family and friends as much as he could.  Share your condolences at meyerfuneralhome.com
