Nevin-Sylvia A. (Wheelock) of Alden, NY passed away March 19, 2024.  Beloved wife of the late Patrick Nevin; dear mother of Laura (Butch) Weston, Donna Renzi, Patricia (Mark) McLellan, Janet (Chris) Weisbeck, Mary (Zack) Salim, Joyce (Russ) Hahn, Amy (Robert) Harrington and Erin (Damien Lawrence) Nevin; also survived by 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.  Family will be present at the CHARLES MEYER FUNERAL HOME, 13228 Broadway Alden, NY Sunday, March 24th from 1-4 PM.  Mass Christian Burial will be held at St. John's RC Church Alden, NY Monday, March 25th at 11 AM (please assemble at church). In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Buffalo Inc.  Sylvia was born and raised in Toronto, Canada.  It was there she met her soulmate, Patrick. They settled in Alden and raised eight beautiful girls. She was an active member of St. John's church, where she belonged to the Bishops Committee and sang for many years in the choir.
