Obituary

Popielinski-Wallace L. "Wally" of Alden, NY March 1, 2022.  Beloved  and committed husband to Sue (nee Kieffer) Popielinski for 45 years; dear father of William (Melissa) Popielinski, David Popielinski and Anne (Allen) Tulowitzki; loving grandfather of Nicholas, Leanne, Emma and Alayna; brother of Carole Holtz, Joanne Sitarek, Lawrence (Katy Benson) Popielinski, Katherine (Timothy) Downey, Sally (Thomas) Haynes, Anne Marie (Paul) Tuttle and the late Mary Ellen (Ron) Gilmore and James (Kathryn) Popielinski; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.  Family will be present to receive friends at the Charles Meyer Funeral Home, 13228 Broadway, Alden, NY Monday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Annunciation RC Church, Elma, NY Tuesday at 10 AM.  Interment will be in the WNY National Cemetery, Pembroke, NY.  Flowers gratefully declined.  Memorials my be made to the Knights of Columbus of Wyoming Council 2240, C/O Gerry Landowski, 2468 Walker Rd. Alexander, NY  14005.  All donations will sponsor a scholarship in Wally's name.   Wally is a US Army, Sgt. First Class Veteran of the Vietnam War.  He was a carpenter, antique collector, furniture restorer and beekeeper.  Wally was a 3rd.
